Picture Perfect – A New England Welcome

I came across this charming foyer of a Nantucket Residence in the latest issue of Boston Home Magazine. I’m loving the connection between the blue front door and the wing back chair (and of course the nails heads on the wing back chair get me every time!) Let’s not overlook the closet door made from driftwood and the reclaimed ceiling beams. What a calming and inviting welcoming to a summer getaway!

Catching Up

Dear Blog:

Sorry its been so long. Life with two kiddo’s has been an adjustment and you’ve been placed on the back burner. I promise to be back to regular postings soon – but in the meantime here’s a “brain dump” of whats been on my radar lately!

Picture Perfect – pretty in pink

Spring is coming! We gained an hour of sunlight & the weather is starting to turn! I’m loving the look of a soft palette of pinks. I’m a sucker for pink anyways, but pair it with creamy whites, natural woods, and layers of texture and I’m all in!

Happy Monday! Enjoy this gorgeous weather!

Pretty Little Things – green & gold

I was going through some of my old magazine tear outs the other day, when I came across this pretty little space from a November 2009 Met Home Magazine. What a statement this Christopher Guy Headboard makes! The green satin fabric is set in gold leaf finished frames for some serious eye-catching glam.

Of course after seeing the glam of the headboard, it made me think of the gorgeous Serenity Stone Collection from Stella & Dot. Both make quite the statement wouldn’t you say?

Picture Perfect – red done right

1. I can’t believe it’s February and 2. I can’t believe tomorrow is Valentine’s Day!! Red can be a very bold and powerful color to incorporate into your interiors, but New York based designer Ellen O’Neill’s summer home in the Hampton’s is a great example of how it can also be welcoming, calming & refreshing.

love the pendant! I couldn’t find a source for it, but I’m guessing its a flea market find!

Happy Monday!
